Rules of Composition

10 Rules of Composition

1. Impact
I thought this picture showed impact because of the pop of color with the dark background

2. Cropping
I used cropping by cropping the background the make the chair look like a background and put the focus on the flowers

3. Biggest, Boldest, Most Favorably Placed
The biggest boldest and most favorably placed is the red shoes in the middle

4. KISS
I put my friend against a white wall and made it black & white to keep it simple and really focus on the tattoo

5. Rule of Thirds
The elevators are in thirds, and I focued on the center one and blurred the outside ones

6. Leading Lines
The clothes she threw on the floor on the way to her bedroom create the leading line

7. Balance

8. Use of Framming
The window treatments and the window frame and the chairs all frame the flowers

9. Avoid Mergers
I made sure nothing else was crossing over in this photo

10. Room for Logical Movement
I chose this picture because it shows her moving as well as a shadow to emphaize it
